Young women just entering the workforce often crave a stylish, practical vehicle. Fortunately, that’s what Honda is founded on. How about the 2018 Civic DX? This compact car has a fresh new design and plenty of features to keep you feeling comfortable and pampered. Even better, it gets great fuel economy, making it perfect for your long commute.

This vehicle’s 2-litre, 4-cylinder engine boasts 158 horsepower, but it still manages to pull out 17.8 highway km/L. Best of all, it offers 34.4 cubic
metres of cargo space, making it a very practical choice.

Driving.ca loved this Honda’s amazing exterior. A sweeping front grille makes the sedan feel as sporty as they come. Large wheel wells, deeply surfaced sills, and delicate rear arches add to the Civic’s elegance. You’ll definitely want to show the car off in your office parking lot.

A number of top executives from Honda and organizations like Canada Drives were in attendance. In fact, one of the four keynote speakers was Ali Woodley, Plant 1 Manager for the country’s manufacturing.

As the conference organizers explained, Woodley and the other leaders present
showcase the best that the auto industry has to offer. Hard work and dedication to cars and to the advancement of women is something to be recognized, and the keynote speakers exhibited these qualities in spades.

Ali Woodley has over 30 years’ experience with Honda of Canada Manufacturing. She has risen up the ranks to one of the most coveted positions in the company, that of Plant 1 Manager. Beginning in 1986 in the paint department, she has since assumed a variety of leadership roles.

According to an article by CBC, Ali Woodley’s plant produces a whopping 820 Honda Civics a day. She oversees paint, welding, and assembly. That’s impressive stuff!

Want to check out the brand new 2018 Civic DX? It might even be one that Woodley had a hand in
building! Stop by Island Honda today for a test drive!
